The World Poker Tour will license agreements to create new versions of the popular poker tournament in Canada and the Philippines thus expanding their presence in the poker field. Online casino players are getting geared up for the big tour. The CEO of the World Poker Tour, Steve Lipscomb, said they will integrate into other markets and bring the poker tour to other countries. This is also true for Canadian card rooms and online casinos that will also offer online casino poker games in early 2006.

Lipscomb commented on the expansion of the World Poker Tour into new markets: “We are very pleased to be able to bring the WPT to the fans in other countries who have been itching to try their hand at making a World Poker Tour Final Table.”
