What do You Think of the US Online Casino Situation?
The recent storm around the US online casino industry ban bill cannot leave anyone who is involved indifferent. Is the bill really justified? Or is it just an attempt to limit the money flow to overseas-owned online casino companies? Now everyone, including yourself, can express her/his opinion on the subject, as the MSNBC Web site launched a survey in order to evaluate opinions on the legislative actions against online casino sites.
The poll, with the heading "Should Online Gambling Be Illegal?", gives three possible answers for the site's visitors. The first one is "Yes, Internet gambling fuels betting addictions"; the second one is "No, people should have the freedom to wager any way they choose", and the last one is "It doesn't matter what Congress passes, there will always be ways to gamble online". The poll has been on only a couple of hours when reactions had reached almost 3,000, while the same subject poll by Wall Street Journal that was run earlier this year had attracted over 9,000 responses. At the end the results 93% in the online casino companies favor.
Together with the survey was posted an article, dealing with the recent political attack of the online casino industry in US. The poll was accompanied by an article on the latest political assault on online gambling in the USA. The American Gaming Association, as it seems, took a neutral position regarding the online casino banning bill, although some of the well-known members showed a motivation to start online casino sites.
