Online Casino Industry Calms US Players
More and more online casino web sites have announced in the last days that they will keep accepting US based players despite the recently legislated Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. Some of the online casinos added that as the passed bill doesn’t make it illegal to post or accept bets they will continue to provide their online casino services as usual.
"Anyway, a great majority of our deposits are processed through non US payment processors who right now aren’t affected at all by the bill” said a Playtech powered online casino site in their published statement. Another site replied to the media by saying that they will continue to accept US players, as the company is located outside the United States and all its operation are legal under International and Costa Rican law. Along with the mentioned above, many other online casino sites released their statement too, calming down American players and gamblers and vowing to continue to provide them all the normal services without any restrictions.
All of the online casino web sites made it very clear in their public statements that the Congress legislation doesn’t prohibit individual players from continue playing online, as the bill in basically only related to financial transactions. Although, on the negative side, some companies have decided to block or warn US players, it seems as the online casino industry has survived the latest attack by the Congress and most of the online gambling companies are clearly telling their customers: “we are here to stay”.
